3-D Zelda Models!

Everyone remembered the DeviantART user SonicGamer196? Well today, when I read the artical on The Last Boss site, Facepunch Studios appears to be a gathering for gamers with ambitious 3D projects, and the group yielding the most interesting results lately is the Twilight Princess crowd. It started when "??UnKnOwN??" ripped some of the 3D models from the game, but kept excited members in the dark as he or she cleaned up the 3D meshes and enhanced the quality of the character textures. Just recently though, member "DONOTWANT" came out of nowhere with 40 different character meshes ripped for download, and the fanboy floodgates have been unleashed.

What this all means, is that if you have 2D and 3D manipulation software, like Photoshop and 3D Studio Max, you can do whatever you want to the Twilight Princess characters. Anything. And if you're into making mods, you could easily rig the models and animate them in Garry's mod. Ok, it's not that easy, rigging each polygonal vertex can be a huge bitch to do well, and coding always gives people headaches, but getting your hands on these kind of files is the hardest step in the process to making Link fight G-man or finally beating the shit out of Midna with the gravity gun. Expect some convincing April Fool's jokes to pop up next year! If I have some free time tonight I'll mesh around with the files more, but grab the winrar downloads before they disappear. If any of you are interested in pursuing this further, lemme know and I'll try to decently rig the models for you this weekend. Any Twilight Princess fight animation requests?

Is Nintendo’s Success Bad News For Publishers?

An analyst is suggesting that “Nintendo's success with the DS and Wii bodes poorly for the publishers.”




Today, when I read this article, people though it was an bad idea for making these games. Is this really true? Well, let's find out!

There can be no denying that Nintendo have been doing incredibly well as of late. Only last week the company announced annual operating profits of 226 billion yen, a 150% increase over the previous year.

Whilst some companies are using the opportunity to push their own games into the public eye (see Ubisoft, Sega and EA to name but a few), not everyone believes that Nintendo’s success is a good thing for the industry.

Todd Mitchell on behalf of Kaufman Bros. Equity Research informed investors that the success of the Wii and DS is actually a bad thing.

In their view Nintendo has “not only increased the size of the market, but it has also re-segmented it in its own favor.” He’s goes on to claim that publishers will suffer as a result:


“Nintendo is dominating software sales on its popular hardware platforms, leaving the publishers with a smaller slice of an only somewhat incrementally larger pie.”


“Moreover, we feel that the likely shorter product cycles of Nintendo's platforms puts the publishers in a permanent catch-up mode.”


Mitchell goes on to point towards upcoming titles such as Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy as perfect highlights of this “phenomena.”

Is this really near the end of Nintendo or is it the end of Publishers? Let's just keep our fingers cross so we won't let the Nintendins down.

Forum's Server Problem [EDIT]

If you trying to get access to the forums, that means the forum's server is down. I dunno what causes it, but the company of the forums must of accentdenly reset the connection. I'll let you guys know when the server is up, because we never had this issue before. Please be patiant.

Nothing much going on though, just got lazy from school today! @,@

No, this is not another topsite. -,-; Anyway, Happy Mask Salesman (the new Administrator of my forums), decided to affliate me back because we're been friends since we met each other at the Midna Fan Forums. AF Clean-Up

Sorry about the mess last night. I was trying to have fun because yesterday was April Fools and all that. =P Ignore the picture of Misty and Jibruru doing a "doggy-style". Don't blame me though, blame on Midna, she record that fake porno as a April Fools joke, which I don't blame her TOO much. xP


Anyway, I updated the new poll of the month #3, incase I didn't get a chance to do it yesterday, and I also add an Oekaki boards, which is in Japanese. You can use your Google Translater to translate Japanese to English.
